We used a Synergy machine to calculate the density and fluorescence values of small and large cell colonies with and without the arabinose inducer for our experimental plasmid, as well as a positive control and negative control (containing the transcriptional terminator). We divided the fluorescence by the density to get the values shown in the table. The values indicate that the promoter, even with the arabinose inducer, was not successful in expressing the Red Fluorescent Protein gene on plasmid J100091.
